Archie in danger of becoming Moonlighting

I remember the time when the people from Archie tried something new and came out with non-graphic books that focused on the different characters in the Archieverse. I so loved that and was so bummed out that I didn't have the funds to buy one of them and didn't even know where to find them even if I did have. But I was able to borrow one of them, the one that I was most interested in, which was the one about Jughead's first love.
The point is that I loved their gimmick. Even from the first time I heard about it, I was excited. This new effort that I read in this
article, is something that I am not very receptive to. Sure, I like it when things are given a fresh new twist but there are just some things that should be left well enough alone and for me, Archie is one of them.
I fear that this plot, wherein Archie is now a college grad and will finally choose between Betty and Veronica, will become the comic world's
Moonlighting. As in, after the fulfilling the most awaited event, the whole verse loses its point and things just start to slide down from there.
But in the interest of owning a piece of history, I plan on looking for this comic and buying it.
