Having heard about the whole Amazon Fail debacle yesterday I signed the petition to Amazon to have this whole thing corrected. And since I'm just so pissed about this whole thing, I actually tried the 'Contact Us' function in the Today show and Nightly News with Brian Williams’s sites. The chances they'll take notice of my email on this travesty is slim to none. But it doesn't hurt to try.

With nothing else much to do to protest this insanity, I've decided to go look at the current CEO of Amazon and see who this gay hater is. Below is one of the many pictures that turned up for Jeff Bezos.

This is him? This is the gay hater? A guy that looks gay himself? Hmmmmmmmm. Okay, saying that this guy is a gay hater is a little overboard, especially in light of the fact that my gaydar is ringing.

I'll give the Amazon CEO the benefit of the doubt that he is a bigot personally. But I refuse to accept that this whole Amazon Fail incident is just a "glitch" as what a representative from Amazon claims. Glitch my ASS! Glitches are random and the products/books affected are concentrated in just a few categories. And mind you this has been going on since February so they can't say that this was a mistake in a new code they entered during the weekend. On top of that, a person from their customer service has already sent a response to an inquiry regarding this whole thing and that person said that this was a policy change. Something is fishy in Amazon. And Amazon needs to explain itself and they better do it quick.

But would boycotting really make a dent in Amazon's business? Something tells me that once this hoopla dies down, we'll just go back to the way things were. I sincerely hope that it doesn't but the world sucks so it probably will.
